ABOUT Thomas Hager
Design is a tool that is capable of doing so much good for the world. As a graphic designer, I want to not only create what I’m passionate about but also create the work I search for in the world. As my knowledge of design has evolved, my concerns have shifted to the comparisons I make between myself and others. Throughout my time as a student, I’ve come to the understanding that my skills are always going to be developing and that comparison is the death of creativity.
As my design has evolved, my priorities have shifted towards making projects that reflect who I am as a person. Sustainability and the conservation of our planet are among my most valued principles. I employ educational methods in my design work from pop-up style books, illustration, and language to help others understand conservation. Using education in design to inspire and teach others on why these topics are important. These influence me personally and as a designer, inspiring me to create every single day. I want the work I make to spark curiosity in the people around me and inspire them to create based on their own values.
